Museo delle Mura

Che bello poter incontrare persone colte ed appassionate! Sono dei fari che ti danno la voglia di migliorarti ed accrescono la tua fame di sapere e conoscere. Stamattina al Museo delle Mura ho avuto il piacere d'incontrare "l'autodidatta e modesto storico dell'arte" (Volontario del Touring Club Italiano) che ha fatto una bellissima ed appassionata presentazione delle Mura Aureliane. Un escursus attraverso quasi tre milla anni nella storia della Caput Mundi. 

What a pleasure having the opportunity to meet well prepared and passionate persons! They give you the desire to improve yourself and increase your hunger to know. This morning at the Museo delle Mura I had the pleasure to meet "the modest and self-taught art historian" who has made a beautiful and passionate presentation of the Aurelian Walls. An excursus through nearly three thousand years in the history of Caput Mundi.

Una passeggiata nella storia

Una domenica di metà estate a spasso nella storia. Che emozione e privilegio poter accedere, conoscere e far conoscere questi tesori nascosti e poco conosciuti della città eterna. La giornata si presentava promettente fin dal mattino attraversando la città ancora addormentata, pigra e deserta. Sono queste le giornate che permettono di gustare ed amare fino in fondo questa città meravigliosa. E' tua e si presenta in tutta la sua bellezza autentica non coperta dal rumore e dalla confusione delle vita quotidiana moderna. Incontri solo pochi romani desiderosi di godersela in pace e dei turisti alla ricerca dei siti da visitare. E qui ce ne sono davvero tanti. Grazie al volontariato per il Touring club Italiano, ho avuto il piacere di scoprire in un unica giornata il Museo delle Mura, il Sepolcro degli Scipioni e la Villa di Massenzio. Un vero viaggio con la macchina del tempo. Dal terzo secolo avanti Cristo, si schiude il sito degli Sepolcri che custodiva le tombe di una delle più importanti famiglie romane. Ancora ad oggi ci sono degli afreschi deliziosi al suo interno. 

A mid-summer Sunday walking in history. What a thrill and privilege to be able to access, discover and present these unknown and hidden treasures of the eternal city. The day appeared interesting since the morning through the city which was still asleep, lazy and deserted. These are the days that allows you to enjoy and cherish this wonderful city. It presents itself in all its authentic beauty not covered by the noise and bustle of modern daily life. Dating only a few Romans eager to enjoy it in peace and tourists in search of sites to visit. And here there are so many things to see. Being a volunteer for the Italian Touring Club, I had the pleasure of discovering a unique day in the Museum of the Walls, the Tomb of the Scipios and the Villa of Maxentius. A real journey with the time machine. From the third century before Christ, opens the site which housed the tombs of one of the most important Roman families. Still delicious frescoes are visible.

Nella scoperta della Villa di Massenzio ho respirato la storia, passeggiando in questo luogo che era la Villa di un imperatore romano. E' come se mi fosse stato raccontato e presentato da un antico romano guidandomi per mano. Che emozione e privilegio poter errare nel circo dell'imperatore, riempire gli occhi e respirare la bellezza ed armonia della natura, dove si è incastonato il complesso residenziale di lusso e svago. Il verde brillante e rigoglioso è lo stesso che si presentava anche all'imperatore. Non si può raccontare la gioia di poter ripercorrere i passi di chi ha fatto la storia, accarezzare e sfiorare ogni evidenza che ancora ad oggi trasmettono la grandiosità e la maestosità di una civiltà le cui tracce ed insegnamenti sono attualissimi ancora oggi. 

Questa è la bellezza e grandiosità di Roma, basta entrare in un cancello quasi anonimo e fai un tuffo di due milla anni addietro, assaporando e vivendo la storia da dentro. 

During the discovery of the Villa of Maxentius I breathed history, walking into this place that was the Villa of a Roman emperor. It was as if I had been told by an ancient Roman and leading me by the hand. What an emotion and privilege to be able to wander in the circus of the emperor, fill your eyes and breathe the beauty and harmony of the nature, where the residential complex of luxury and leisure is inserted. The bright green and lush is the same as it was presented to the Emperor himself. You can not tell the joy of being able to retrace the steps of those who made ​​history, caress and touch the evidences that still convey the grandeur and majesty of a civilization whose traces and teachings are very much alive today.

This is the beauty and grandeur of Rome, just walk into an almost  anonymous gate and you will end you two thousand years before, enjoying and experiencing the story from inside.

Il mio primo giorno al Vittoriano da Volontaria per il Patrimonio Culturale del Touring Club Italiano. Che bello poter fare cose che ti piacciono e ti danno soddisfazioni! 

My first day at Vittoriano as a Voluntary Guide for the Cultural Heritage of the Italian Touring Club. How nice to be able to do things that you like and gives you satisfaction!

Bibliotheca Hertziana - Roma

Che emozione poter scoprire un luogo dedicato e votato alla cultura, al sapere al bello! Affreschi di straordinaria bellezza ancora oggi splendidi e vivi nei minimi particolari. La biblioteca, situata all'interno di Palazzo Zuccari, compie 100 anni ed ospita una delle più importanti collezioni europee di libri di storia dell'arte. 

Milyen izgalom felfedezni ezt a kultúra, a tanulás és szépség otthonàt! Rendkívüli szépségű freskói  még mindig élnek minden részletben. A könyvtár, a Palazzo Zuccari-ban va elhelyezve, 100 éves, és tartalmazza Europa egyik legjelentősebb művészet történelemkönyvek gyűjteményét.

Koje uzbuđenje da sam mogla da otkrijem ovaj svet posvećen kulturi , učenju i  lepoti! Freske izuzetne lepote i još uvek žive u svakom detalju. Biblioteka , smeštena u Palazzo Zuccari, je stara 100 godina i dom je jedan od najvažnijih evropskih zbirki knjige istorije umetnosti. 

What a thrill to be able to discover this sight dedicated and devoted to the culture, learning the beauty! Frescoes of extraordinary beauty still brilliant and alive in every detail. The library, housed in the Palazzo Zuccari, is 100 years old and is the home of one of the the most important European collections of art history books.

Quel plaisir découvrir cette maison dédié et dévoué à la culture, l'apprentissage de la beauté! Fresques d'une beauté extraordinaire encore beau et vivant dans les moindres détails. La bibliothèque, situé dans le Palazzo Zuccari, a 100 ans et est le foyer de l'une des plus importantes collections de livres européens d'histoire de l'art.

All'interno della sede storica è stato inaugurato quest'anno una nuova sede moderna che custodisce la vastissima collezione dei libri.

Inside the storical sight, this year a new modern part has been opened, housing a various and rich collection of books.
 

Palazzo Massimo alle Terme - Museo Nazionale Romano

Un sabato pomeriggio in gita nella storia dell'antica Roma. 

Un museo pressoché sconosciuto che custodisce preziosissime testimonianze della Roma che fu, bellissimi mosaici, gli affreschi delle Ville romane (Villa di Livia e Villa della Farnesina), una ricchissima collezione di statue. 

Meravigliose le due statue in bronzo, conservate benissimo.

A Saturday afternoon inside the history of ancient Rome.

A museum which houses almost unknown precious testimonies of Rome, beautiful mosaics, frescoes of Roman villas (Villa of Livia and the Villa Farnesina), a rich collection of statues.

Wonderful two bronze statues, preserved very well.

Un samedi après-midi promenade dans l'histoire de la Rome antique.

Un musée presque inconnus qui conserves de précieux témoignages de Rome qui était, de belles mosaïques, fresques de villas romaines (Villa de Livia et la Villa Farnesina), une riche collection de statues.

Magnifique deux statues de bronze, très bien conservés.
